I love that it’s finally Autumn – a season I’ve been longing for since the lengthy, humid Summer days. Although, I feel like it’s quickly accelerating into Winter! However, before all that comes the 31st of October (no, I’m not talking about Brexit…) HALLOWEEN!
It’s become so much more Americanised in the UK and giant retailers are cashing in with all of the increasing commercialisation. As a kid, I much preferred to cosy up inside with plenty of snacks and my trusty old game console, enjoying hours of fun, and then retiring to a horror movie later on in the evening with my family. Picking out a scary costume and going trick or treat didn’t even cross my mind at that age, despite having plenty of kids coming to our front door!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a total introvert. I did attend a Halloween event at my local museum. It guaranteed a frightening experience, but instead I was met with mediocre actors and childish scary stories. Since then, I’ve reverted back to my childhood habits and prefer to get into the spirit without leaving the sofa, as I’m much more inclined to binge a spooky Netflix or Amazon prime series as long as my internet can keep up.
Upgrading from normal broadband to fibre optic is one way I’ve managed to not get slowed down by my broadband. If you’re finding that your TV binging days are being ruined by your slow internet connection then you should find and compare fibre optic broadband deals and see what’s available in your area.
This year, you’ll also find me lounging around in my comfy Friday the 13th Tshirt based on my favourite horror movie character Jason Voorhees (you can get a whopping 30% off on the Horror Collection & FREE delivery with the code ‘GRIDCORE‘). It’s totally worth the £19.99 price tag as it’s made of 100% quality cotton fabric!
I’ll also be popping my own tasty popcorn in just 3 minutes with the iWoot Retro Diner Popcorn Maker (use ‘GRIDCORE‘ at the checkout for FREE delivery!) to go nicely with my hours of entertainment! It uses hot air instead of oil (making the popcorn healthy too!) What better way to spend Fright Night, eh?!
Until next time.
