Why I Prefer Online Shopping

It’s that time of year again when queues stretch outside the store doors and people hurriedly snap up last minute gifts. Adults are arguing over parking spaces and are in a frenzy over the food, whilst the kids are throwing a strop. I’ve become more than accustomed to this yearly occurrence and much rather stay at home, which is why I prefer online shopping.

In recent years, I’m so glad that e-commerce has started to take off because I absolutely loathe wandering around stores (more like an obstacle course…) filling my trolley whilst manoeuvring to avoid narrowly hitting a spoilt toddler kicking down a storm in the bakery section or a pre-teen yelling out obscenities after being caught shoplifting. It’s just not as enjoyable or relaxing anymore.

Online shopping is just so much more cheaper, easier and hassle-free – basically awesome. And in case, you still don’t get why I’d much prefer to buy over the net than shop in person, here are a few points:

• Bargains galore
• No small talk
• From the comfort of my home
• Awaiting delivery like a kid on Xmas day
• Efficiency as no crowds or queues
• Choices at my fingertips
• Open 24/7

I’m sure many of you will agree with me on the points I’ve listed, so it only makes my case stronger on why online shopping is so much better! However, one thing I would like to see is less materials used when packaging items to be posted. It’d really make a difference to our environment and wildlife!
